Willkie is advising American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG) on its acquisition of Everest Compañía de Seguros Generales Chile S.A. (“Everest Chile”), Everest Group Ltd.’s (NYSE: EG) insurance subsidiary in Chile.
On October 30, AIG announced that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Everest Chile, a transaction that strengthens AIG’s presence in Latin America supports the company’s long-term growth. Everest Chile serves corporate and upper-middle-market clients, with a portfolio that includes property, energy, marine, financial lines and casualty insurance.
In addition, AIG announced the completion of its previously announced acquisition of Everest Colombia. Willkie also advised AIG on the Everest Colombia acquisition.
