Willkie represented Dorchester Minerals, L.P. (NASDAQ: DMLP) on its acquisition of mineral and royalty interests totaling approximately 3,100 net royalty acres located in five counties across the Williston Basin in North Dakota.
The recently completed transaction was structured as a non-taxable contribution and exchange. The contributing entities conveyed their interests to Dorchester Minerals, L.P. in exchange for 835,958 common units.
Dorchester Minerals, L.P. is a Dallas-based owner of producing and non-producing oil and natural gas mineral, royalty, overriding royalty, and net profits interests located in 28 states.
The Willkie team was led by partner Jesse Betts with partner Nathan Meredith and associate Avery Steen.
