Willkie advised Versaterm, a global leader in public safety solutions and portfolio company of Banneker Partners and Permira, on its acquisition of DroneSense, a provider of software solutions enabling public safety agencies to leverage drone technology for operations and Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs.
The acquisition expands Versaterm’s public safety portfolio and establishes the company as the leader in operationalizing drone response as part of the command workflow for first responders and the communities they serve.
Willkie previously advised Banneker Partners on its investment in Versaterm in 2020, and subsequently advised Versaterm on numerous transactions, including its acquisitions of Integrated Computer Systems, CI Technologies, FivePoint Solutions and Visual Labs.
The Willkie team was led by partners A. Mark Getachew and Jeffrey Daniel and included associates David Avraham, Rachel Hankers and Megan Shubert, and law clerk Aryan Pour-Bahreini.
