Willkie represented Stone Point Capital in its acquisition of mobility risk and insurtech pioneer SambaSafety.

On September 10, it was announced that Willkie client Stone Point Capital completed its acquisition of SambaSafety, the market leading provider of mobility risk management technology for auto insurance carriers, brokers and employers.

Following the acquisition, SambaSafety’s management team will continue to execute on its strategic roadmap and expand the company’s market-leading solutions that modernize driver risk pricing and reduce risk for insurance carriers and employers. Stone Point, which has invested in over 50 insurance and insurtech companies, will help power the next phase of the company’s growth by providing SambaSafety with additional capital to accelerate organic and inorganic product development.

Stone Point is an investment firm based in Greenwich, CT, with approximately $30 billion of assets under management. Stone Point targets investments in companies in the global financial services industry and related sectors. The firm invests in a number of alternative asset classes, including private equity through its flagship Trident Funds.

Stone Point also manages both liquid and private credit funds and managed accounts. In addition, Stone Point Capital Markets supports the firm, its portfolio companies and other clients by providing dedicated financing solutions.
