Litigation and Intellectual Property partner Michael Babbitt has been elected to the PTAB Bar Association’s Board of Directors.

The PTAB Bar Association seeks to preserve and promote the highest professional and ethical standards among lawyers and stakeholders who appear before the PTAB. The Association is dedicated to helping secure the just, speedy, and inexpensive resolution of every PTAB proceeding, and to maintaining or improving the reputation and stature of the legal profession and community associated with the PTAB.

Mr. Babbitt, who is based in Willkie’s Chicago office, focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and counseling involving patents and technology. He has represented clients within the manufacturing, hospitality, IT, energy, and office supply industries on matters involving patent infringement, property disputes, enforcement actions, and has been involved in a rare Federal Circuit appellate reversal of a PTAB decision. He is the co-chair of the PTAB Trials Committee and has served as an adjunct professor for the John Marshall Law School Intellectual Property Trial Advocacy Program.
