Partners Jeffrey Goldfarb and Viktor Okasmaa served as contributing editors for the ninth edition of Acquisition Finance, a Lexology Getting the Deal Through publication. Acquisition Finance addresses the provisions and obligations for debtors and creditors in structuring international acquisitions. Issues covered include: General structuring of financing, foreign law and investment, debt, guarantees and collateral, funding, flex provisions, securities demands, enforcement, Debtor-in-Possession (DIP) financing and discount debt instruments. The publication comprises chapters on Denmark, Hong Kong, Japan, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United States.

Mr. Goldfarb and Mr. Okasmaa also contributed the U.S. chapter, which provides a comprehensive overview on a host of topics including general structuring and financing, guarantees and collateral, debt commitment letters and acquisition agreements, enforcement of claims and insolvency, and current trends.

Mr. Okasmaa serves as Chair of the firm’s Finance Practice Group, representing private equity sponsors, corporations, direct lenders and investment banks in connection with a wide variety of financing transactions. Mr. Goldfarb serves as Vice Chair of the group and has significant experience in complex debt transactions for borrowers and lenders, with a special emphasis on leveraged acquisition financings and debt restructuring.
