In its inaugural list of Midwest Trailblazers, ALM recognizes professionals in the region who have moved the needle in the legal industry.
Partner Brienne Letourneau was named among The American Lawyer’s 2021 Midwest Trailblazers. The Trailblazer series honors legal professionals have moved the needle in the legal industry and are agents of change.
A member of the firm’s Litigation Department, Ms. Letourneau represents businesses and institutions in their most complex and high-stakes matters. In a recently published profile, she discussed her career path as a litigator, changes resulting from her case wins, and their broader impact in the law.
“I started working on class actions involving breach of fiduciary claims in the asset management space early in my career,” she said. “Novel breach of fiduciary duty theories are constantly emerging, and I enjoy working on stimulating, high-stakes, and often precedent-setting litigation to achieve impactful results on these issues for my clients in the Midwest and nationwide.”
On the impact of case wins, she notes, “The results my colleagues and I have achieved for our clients have vindicated their fiduciary processes, and clarified the contours of their duties.”
