New York, NY (February 17, 2021) --- Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced that prominent antitrust lawyer Dr. Jens-Olrik Murach will join Willkie’s Antitrust & Competition Group as a partner. Mr. Murach will be based in Willkie’s Brussels and Frankfurt offices. He was previously a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
Mr. Murach has over 20 years of experience practicing antitrust law in Brussels and Germany. His practice covers a full range of EU and German antitrust issues, including merger control, restrictive practices, market dominance, cartel investigations, distribution systems, sectoral investigations, compliance, and antitrust litigation.

Mr. Murach has advised on many complex and high-stakes merger control matters, both before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office. He also has significant experience in managing global merger control investigations. Mr. Murach regularly represents companies in cartel and abuse of dominance investigations before the German Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission, including handling leniency applications, settlement negotiations, and appeals against infringement decisions. He also has significant experience advising on vertical distribution matters and represents clients in commercial and administrative antitrust litigation before German courts and the courts of the EU in Luxembourg.
