In her role on the Subcommittee, Ms. Eastwood contributed to the recently released report, “Managing Climate Risk in the U.S. Financial System.”
Partner Athena Eastwood, who is widely recognized for her regulatory and transactional work in the energy and environmental commodities and derivatives markets, is currently serving on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Climate-Related Market Risk Subcommittee of the Market Risk Advisory Committee (MRAC). In her role on the Subcommittee, Athena contributed to the recently released report entitled “Managing Climate Risk in the U.S. Financial System,” the first-ever U.S. government report detailing the risks of climate change to the stability of the U.S. financial system. The report presents 53 recommendations to mitigate the risks to financial markets posed by climate change.
