Mr. Forman is among four attorneys nationwide recognized as a Rising Star in Bankruptcy.

Business Reorganization & Restructuring partner Daniel Forman was profiled for Law360’s 2020 Rising Star series as one of four attorneys in the Bankruptcy category. Among his achievements over the past year, Mr. Forman is recognized for his role in major bankruptcy cases such as Pacific Gas and Electric Co.'s $59 billion reorganization and the largest-ever U.S. municipal bankruptcy in Puerto Rico.

In the article, Law360 highlights Mr. Forman’s representation of the COFINA agent in the Puerto Rico restructuring, and an ad hoc group of subrogation claim holders in the PG&E Corporation bankruptcy, the biggest case of his career so far. Mr. Forman also discusses COVID-19’s impact on bankruptcy work and how the collaborative nature of its practice first attracted him to the field.

"Bankruptcy isn't a zero-sum game," he said "Everybody has to come together to negotiate, and the lawyers play a pretty central and pivotal role."

The Law360 Rising Stars series highlights the exceptional achievements of attorneys under 40 across a range of practice areas. The honorees were selected from among more than 1,300 applicants in the US and internationally.
