New York, NY (April 1, 2019) --- Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced that Jeffrey D. Pawlitz has joined the firm as partner in its Business Reorganization & Restructuring Department in New York. He was previously a partner at King & Spalding LLP.
Mr. Pawlitz has a broad range of experience representing debtors, creditors, investors and others in complex restructuring matters including chapter 11 cases, cross-border insolvency matters, out-of-court restructurings and bankruptcy-related acquisitions. He has represented a diverse range of clients spanning numerous industries in some of the most complex and contentious bankruptcies in recent years.
Recent notable matters include the representation of lender groups in the chapter 11 bankruptcies for retailers Nine West, Payless Holdings and Vince Camuto, and on the debtor side, Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, The Dolan Company and GSE Environmental in their respective chapter 11 cases. He also advises private equity and hedge fund clients in connection with strategic acquisitions or dispositions of distressed assets.
