Willkie represented longtime client Insight Venture Partners in its acquisition of Episerver, a leading marketing technology and digital commerce company.

On September 6, it was announced that Willkie client Insight Venture Partners has agreed to acquire marketing technology and digital commerce company Episerver for $1.16 billion. The investment will provide Episerver with accelerated product development, go-to-market sales and marketing, and branding initiatives. Episerver expects this transaction to propel its global growth strategy and market presence, and dramatically expand adoption for its Digital Experience Cloud™ platform.

Founded in 1994, Episerver has offices in the U.S., U.K., Sweden, Australia, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Norway, the Netherlands, Spain, South Africa, Singapore, Vietnam and the UAE. The Episerver Digital Experience Cloud™ unifies digital content, commerce and marketing in one platform, including omnichannel solutions for smart personalization and intelligent campaigns.

Insight Venture Partners is a leading global venture capital and private equity firm investing in high-growth technology and software companies. Insight currently has over $20 billion of assets under management and has cumulatively invested in more than 300 companies. Willkie most recently represented Insight in closing its $6.3 billion Fund X (its largest fund to date), its growth investment in EveryAction, and in the multi-partner merger of Illuminate Education with SchoolCity, IO Education and Alpine Achievement.
