Paris office represents Bonduelle in successful private placements of €150 million and $50 million of senior notes.

Willkie client Bonduelle, the world leader in ready-to-eat vegetables present in the canned, frozen, fresh-cut and delicatessen categories, announced that on July 6 it issued new private placements in the US market (USPP) of €150 million and $50 million of senior notes. These two tranches both have a maturity of 10 years and bring the group’s total debt average maturity to almost 5 years. The transaction supports Bonduelle’s recent acquisition of California-based Ready Pac Foods, the #1 producer of single-serve salad bowls in the United States. BNP Paribas and Natixis acted as agents on the transaction.

France-based Bonduelle, a family business, was established in 1853 and is listed on Euronext. Its vegetable products are sold in 100 countries under various brand names and through various distribution channels and technologies.

The Willkie deal team was led by partner Eduardo Fernandez in Paris and included special European counsel Stanislas Curien and associate Grégoire Dumazy.
