Paris office represents Elior, a global provider of contract and concession catering and support services, in its agreement to negotiate the acquisition of a 38.45% stake in Areas from Corporación Empresarial Emesa.

Willkie client Elior, a global provider of contract and concession catering and support services, recently announced it has reached an agreement to negotiate the acquisition from Corporación Empresarial Emesa the remaining 38.45% minority stake in its Areas subsidiary. The deal will increase Elior’s stake in Areas to 100% and Emesa will become a significant shareholder of Elior.

With 9,670 employees, Areas manages over 1,100 outlets in concession spaces such as airports, highway service plazas, train stations, shopping centers, exhibition venues and central city locations in 7 countries.  Elior is a global player in contract and concession catering and support services. Willkie recently advised on Elior’s €845 million Initial Public Offering.
