The firm receives highest ranking from leading competition law and policy publisher and news service.

Global Competition Review, the  leading competition law and policy publisher and news service, once again ranked Willkie’s Paris Antitrust and Competition team as “Elite” in France, its highest honor. GCR writes, partner “Jacques-Philippe Gunther's team at Willkie Farr  & Gallagher continues to draw praise for being one of France's leading competition practices…...The firm has maintained a busy workload across both transactional and behavioural matters, an impressive feat in a time of low merger work.”   GCR highlights some of the group’s recent successes such as representing GDF Suez in obtaining the highest-ever fine reduction (€233 million) by the EU General Court regarding an energy group and representing shipping company CMA CGM in its settlement with  France's Competition Authority over anti-competitive exclusivity clauses.  GCR also notes the firm’s work for EDF in acquiring Edison and Photowatt and its representation of CMA in its purchase of a major stake in Terminal Link.  The firm’s  “Elite” (France) ranking is included in the latest edition of GCR 100, a guide to the world's leading competition law and economics practices.
