On November 30, ALM’s Law Journal Press announced the release of a new book, The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: Compliance, Investigations and Enforcement, a comprehensive FCPA guide, co-authored by Willkie Compliance & Enforcement partners Martin J. Weinstein, Robert J. Meyer and Jeffrey D. Clark.

The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: Compliance, Investigations and Enforcement covers all aspects of the FCPA, explaining the Act’s anti-bribery and recordkeeping requirements, potential civil and criminal liability for corporations and individuals, and compliance and risk mitigation strategies. The book offers comprehensive guidance on how to identify red flags, avoid risk and address problems that arise. Topics include: managing risks related to third-party agents, consultants and representatives; FCPA issues in mergers, acquisitions and other transactions; compliance program best practices; how to effectively and efficiently conduct corporate internal investigations; how to defend or resolve an FCPA investigation; and more.

All three authors are former federal prosecutors with extensive experience handling high-profile Foreign Corrupt Practices cases and counseling corporations in their most sensitive international compliance matters.
