On March 16, Willkie client W. R. Berkley closed on its $350 million offering of 4.625% Senior Notes due 2022. An insurance holding company, W. R. Berkley is among the largest commercial lines writers in the United States. It operates in five segments of the property casualty insurance business: specialty insurance, regional property casualty insurance, alternative markets, reinsurance and international. The deal was handled by partners Jeffrey Hochman and Cristopher Greer and associates Matthew Haddad and John Howell.
