Firm advises on the financing and public law aspects of the Public Private Partnership between the city of Nice and the consortium Nice Eco Stadium.

Willkie recently advised banks SMBC Europe Limited, Société Générale, Crédit Agricole CIB and BBVA-Succursale de Paris on the financing and public law aspects of the €245 million Public Private Partnership between the city of Nice and the consortium Nice Eco Stadium. The consortium led by VINCI Concessions in association with Caisse des Dépôts and SEIEF, has a 30-year agreement to design, finance, construct, operate and maintain the new 35,000-seat, environmentally sustainable Olympic Nice Stadium scheduled to open in 2013. This is the first national project of its kind in France, featuring an environmentally sustainable wood structure and natural air conditioning system. The new stadium, which is envisaged to produce more energy than it will consume, is expected to host the next Euro 2016 football matches, and will serve as the new home to National Museum of Sports, currently located in Paris. The deal was handled by partners Amir Jahanguiri and Thierry Laloum, and associates Driss Bererhi, Michaël Armandou, Darko Adamovic and Farah El-Bsat.

The Paris office also recently advised on the Concession Agreement for Grand Ouest Airport in Notre Dame des Landes, expected to be operational in 2017.
