Warburg Pincus completes acquisition of International Technidyne Corporation (ITC) from Thoratec Corporation, and acquisition of Nexus DX, Inc. -- two related transactions.
On November 4, Willkie client Warburg Pincus completed two related transactions, the acquisition of International Technidyne Corporation (ITC) from Thoratec Corporation, and the acquisition of Nexus DX, Inc. ITC is a world leader in the fields of hemostasis management and point-of-care (POC) testing. Nexus Dx, Inc. was formed in 2009 to take advantage of market opportunities in POC diagnostics by consolidating products and technologies to create a company dedicated to improving patient outcomes and healthcare economics via decentralized blood diagnostic testing. The transactions were handled by partners Steven Gartner, William Gump, Russell Leaf and David Rubinsky, and associates Matthew Guercio, Faith Livermore, Brandon Ladoff, Julia Schiesel, Katie Calabrese, Meghan Hungate, Jeremy Hendon and Brett Cohen.
