On May 11, The Allstate Corporation priced $1 billion of senior notes. Willkie represented the underwriters, led by joint book-running managers Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital and J.P. Morgan Securities, in the transaction. The notes were offered in two tranches: $300 million of 6.200% Senior Notes, Series A due 2014 and $700 million of 7.450% Senior Notes, Series B due 2019. Based in Northbrook, Illinois, Allstate is the nation's largest publicly held personal lines insurer and one of the nation's leading insurers in urban areas. The deal was handled by partner Jeffrey Hochman and associates Melinda Wang and Michael Brandt.
