Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, completes €750 million bond issue with fixed coupon maturing in July 2013.

It was recently announced that Willkie client Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, completed a €750 million bond issue with fixed coupon maturing in July 2013. Despite the distressed financial climate, the offering, conducted under Schneider Electric’s €6 billion EMTN program, was welcomed by investors and was significantly oversubscribed with total orders amounting to nearly €3.5 billion. In 2007, Willkie assisted Schneider Electric in its €1 billion share capital increase. With operations in more than 100 countries and over 120,000 employees, Schneider Electric offers integrated solutions across multiple market segments, including energy and infrastructure, industrial processes, building automation, and data centers/networks, as well as residential applications. The transaction was handled by partner Laurent Faugérolas and special European counsel Etienne Boursican.
