Warburg Pincus announces acquisition and merger of Chronic Care Solutions Inc. and MPTC Holdings Inc.
On October 3, Willkie client private equity firm Warburg Pincus announced that it has acquired the country's No. 2 and No. 3 medical supply companies for chronic care patients, Chronic Care Solutions Inc. and MPTC Holdings Inc., in a deal valued at $645 million. Warburg will merge the two companies, which were previously owned by KRG Capital Partners LLC and Charterhouse Group Inc., respectively, and operate under the name CCS Medical. The deal is expected to create one of the largest and fastest growing direct-to-consumer providers of diabetes and other medical supplies in the United States. The deal was handled by partner Steven Gartner and associates Mark Cognetti, Danielle Garber and Adam Henslovitz.
