French government announces $3.7 billion-plus initial public offering of Willkie client Groupe SAPRR SA, a Paris-based toll-roads company.

As reported in the press, the French government announced a $3.7 billion-plus initial public offering of Willkie client Groupe SAPRR SA, a Paris-based toll-roads company.  Groupe SAPRR, owned by the government and government entities, is France’s second largest toll-roads company.  It owns and operates a network of 1,130 miles of toll roads in eastern and central France, including the main highway connecting Paris to the industrial district of Lyon.  The Daily Deal notes that Willkie partners Daniel Hurstel and Stéphane Sabatier, who are based in the Paris office, handled the transaction. The firm previously received wide acclaim for its participation in the work on the A28 toll road, the first limited-recourse project financed motorway in France.
