On March 19, Willkie client Warburg Pincus LLC announced plans to spend $80 million for Xerox Corp’s 20% stake in speech-recognition software company ScanSoft Inc. ScanSoft, a 1999 Xerox spinoff based in Peabody, Mass, sells software that incorporates speech, images and documents in digital applications. The March 22 Daily Deal reports that the deal was handled by partner Michael Schwartz and associate Mark Getachew.
