It has been widely reported that Willkie client London buyout house CVC Capital Partners is on the verge of a deal to sell BSN Glasspack SA, its French packaging company, to Owens-Illinois Inc. for €1.16 billion ($1.49 billion), including debt.

On February 18, it was reported that Willkie client London buyout house CVC Capital Partners is on the verge of a deal to sell BSN Glasspack SA, its French packaging company, to Owens-Illinois Inc. for €1.16 billion ($1.49 billion), including debt. BSN, which uses Owens-Illinois technology under license, has 19 plants, 40 furnaces and 129 glass lines spread across France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. It supplies containers to wine, spirits and beer producers, as well as the food industry. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter, assuming regulatory approval. The February 18 Daily Deal (online) reports that Paris partner Daniel Hurstel is advising CVC.
