Willkie clients French building materials group Lafarge SA and private equity firms Advent International Corp., Carlyle Group and CVC Capital Partners agree to sell specialty materials unit Materis to Paris private equity firm LBO France for an enterprise value of €1.1 billion ($1.3 billion).

On September 23, it was announced that Willkie clients French building materials group Lafarge SA and private equity firms Advent International Corp., Carlyle Group and CVC Capital Partners agreed to sell specialty materials unit Materis to Paris private equity firm LBO France for an enterprise value of €1.1 billion ($1.3 billion). Lafarge announced the sale of its remaining 33% stake in Paris-based Materis for approximately €210 million. It is reported that the private equity firms, which have made more than twice their original equity investment on the deal, will not reinvest. The 9/24 Daily Deal reports that Willkie partners Daniel Hurstel, Annette Péron and Allard de Waal were counsel to Lafarge and the private equity consortium.
