On February 1-5, Hon. Shelley C. Chapman (Ret.), Senior Counsel in Willkie’s Restructuring Department and Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution practice, will speak on a panel at the 2026 Winter Bench and Bar Conference hosted by the Federal Bar Council in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic.
Judge Chapman’s panel, titled “Trends in Article III Supervision of Bankruptcy Courts,” will explore the recent trend of divergence between Article I bankruptcy courts and the Article III district courts charged with review of bankruptcy court rulings, with a specific focus on the power and scope of the bankruptcy courts and the Bankruptcy Code itself.
