On October 2, senior counsel and Co-Chair of the Willkie Digital Works practice Chris Giancarlo, and counsel Michael Selig, will speak at the Fordham Law Blockchain Regulatory Symposium in New York. 

At 11:10 a.m., Chris, former Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), will moderate a fireside chat with Kristin Johnson, Commissioner at the CFTC.  

At 4:10 p.m., Michael will be a panelist in the session, “Staking in the Regulatory Spotlight: Implications and Innovations,” covering regulatory perspectives on staking products and the effect of emergent tax considerations on the industry.

The Fordham Law Blockchain Regulatory Symposium explores key themes focusing on the existing tension between innovation and regulation, both within the United States and for the global community. Attendees include leading regulators, academics, judges, lawyers and business practitioners at the forefront of consumer protection, corporate, financial regulatory, intellectual property, litigation and other areas of the law.
