Willkie’s Peter Burrell and Martin Weinstein to present at this annual gathering for the global anti-corruption community.

The 37th International Conference on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act will take place December 2 and 3 in a new interactive and virtual format. Willkie’s Martin Weinstein, Chair of the firm’s Compliance, Investigations & Enforcement Practice Group, and Peter Burrell, head of Willkie’s Litigation, Compliance, Investigations & Enforcement and White Collar Defense Practice Groups in London, will be among the speakers at this annual gathering, which is hosted by the American Conference Institute and is the flagship event for the global anti-corruption community.

On December 2, Mr. Burrell will take part in the Breakout Session panel titled Cross-Border Privilege: The Newest Hurdles to Preserving Privilege: The Lesser Known Pitfalls that Can Derail Your Case Across Jurisdictions. The panel will address numerous issues, including cross-border strategies, identifying differences in the scope of privilege, and what happens to other privileged material when some reaches the public domain.

On December 3, Mr. Weinstein will moderate the Global Risk Think Tank panel on The New Reality of Risk – Part III. The panel, titled The New Realities of Third-Party Due Diligence with Limited Resources, will offer five effective strategies for vetting your business partners, their partners and more. Panelists will include compliance executives from major corporations.
