This annual conference held in New York City features industry experts, sponsors and institutional investors discussing this growing and evolving market place, product design and innovation, and emerging trends in insurance-linked securities and funds.
Joseph Ferraro spoke as a panelist which was moderated by Goldman Sachs on Wednesday March 4th and discussed ‘The Next Frontier – new ILS and permanent capital vehicles’. This discussion focused on current and potential developments in reinsurance markets and how they may influence and shape ILS markets. The discussion included perspectives on emergence of Hedge Fund Re vehicles, evolution of temporary vehicles (i.e., sidecars) into permanent capital vehicles and development of casualty ILS.
Nick Bugler spoke as a panellist on the topic of ‘Breakout Panel II: Recent Developments in Tax and Legal Impacting ILS’ which was moderated by Willis Capital Markets & Advisory on Wednesday March 4th. This panel examined recent and ongoing tax and legal developments impacting CAT bonds, sidecars and related solutions.
