Willkie has again ranked among the top law firms for diversity in Law360's Diversity Snapshot, an annual survey of the legal industry. In the 2023 survey, Willkie ranked 4th for overall attorney diversity and 4th for partner diversity among major law firms. Both rankings are in the category of firms with more than 601 U.S.-based attorneys.
The Diversity Snapshot compiled data from almost 300 law firms, including most of the largest U.S.-based firms and international law firms with a substantial U.S. presence, and ranked them with peer firms of a comparable size across a number of categories. Law360 used data from the American Bar Association and its own historical surveys to set benchmarks for the report. The overall diversity ranking is based on a “pipeline” score that compares the breakdowns of firms’ headcounts by race and ethnicity against Law360's benchmarks.
