Maria-Leticia Ossa Daza, Chair of Willkie’s Latin America Practice Group, has been named among the “2023 Notable Women in Law” by Crain’s New York Business. The annual series recognizes the top female lawyers in the New York City region for their leadership and achievements in the law as well as their impact as mentors and pro bono advocates.

Crain’s New York Business recognized Maria-Leticia as a trailblazing transactional attorney, founding partner of Willkie’s Latin America practice and member of the firm’s Executive Committee. The publication highlighted her work advising América Móvil on the approximately $6.25 billion sale of TracFone to Verizon and Odinsa S.A. in the sale of a 50% stake in certain of its South America airport concessions to a Macquarie Asset Management affiliate, among other recent deals.

In addition, Maria-Leticia was recognized for her civic and philanthropic activities, including her prominent role as a mentor to women in the Latin America legal industry and her support for AID FOR AIDS, among many other organizations.
