Jacob Karim is an associate in the Intellectual Property Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in San Francisco. Jacob’s experience spans a wide array of technologies and legal doctrines, with a focus on IP litigation. His IP practice centers around patent litigation, and also includes experience in complex copyright, trade secrets, and trademark disputes. He has represented high-profile tech companies before district courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission. He has worked closely with numerous witnesses to prepare them for live testimony, including preparing key technical experts for trial. He is adept at translating complex technical issues into clear, persuasive narratives for judges and juries.

Additionally, Jacob has played central roles in discovery management and motion drafting on high-stakes antitrust and data privacy litigations. He is a flexible team-player with broad litigation experience. 

Jacob earned his J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where he was the president of the Intellectual Property Law Society. Prior to entering law school, Jacob had engineering roles in construction and aerospace manufacturing.
