New York, NY (January 21, 2021) --- Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced the addition of prominent patent litigators Indranil “Indy” Mukerji and Stephen Marshall. They join the Firm as partners in the Intellectual Property and Litigation Departments, with Mr. Mukerji joining as Willkie’s Head of Tech Patent Litigation. Both will be based in Washington, DC. They were previously Principals at the intellectual property boutique Fish & Richardson.

With more than two decades of intellectual property experience, Mr. Mukerji is a trial lawyer who handles complex litigation in federal courts and tribunals around the country, including in Texas federal courts (Eastern District and Western District) and at the U.S. International Trade Commission. He has represented many of the world’s leading tech companies in high-stakes disputes involving nearly every important aspect of computer and electrical hardware, software, and networking. A registered patent attorney, Mr. Mukerji also drives strategic analysis and counseling for patent portfolios of companies ranging from start-ups to global industry leaders. He has been repeatedly recognized for excellence in publications such as IAM Magazine’s “Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Professionals, National Law Journal’s “Minority 40 Under 40,” Lawyers of Color’s “Power 100,” and Best Lawyers.

Mr. Marshall focuses his practice on complex patent litigation and counseling with an emphasis on embedded systems and software, mobile devices and standards, and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies. He also has extensive experience in communications and networking protocols and standards. Mr. Marshall has represented clients before U.S. District Courts around the country, particularly in the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, in the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and in Section 337 proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
