Mr. Advani is one of ten attorneys nationwide to be named “Rising Star” in the area of Securities.

Litigation partner Sameer Advani was profiled as part of Law360's "Rising Stars" series, which features top legal talent under 40.  After a formal nomination and selection process conducted by a team of eight Law 360 editors, involving more than 1000 candidates, Mr. Advani was one of only ten attorneys nationwide to be named a "Rising Star" in the area of Securities. Winners were selected based on the strength of their accomplishments in their respective practice groups thus far in their careers. Law360 notes that the winners' "legal accomplishments belie their age."

The profile, published on May 8, highlights Mr. Advani's key role in Willkie's successful defense of fashion designer Kenneth Cole's $160 million deal to take his eponymous company private in the face of a shareholder class action. The article also discusses his representation of Facebook in the complex litigation surrounding its IPO and his current work assisting Nortel Network's UK pension plan prepare for the upcoming joint trial before bankruptcy courts in Delaware and Toronto over how to allocate the $7.5 billion that the now-defunct Canadian telecom raised in liquidation.

Law360 praises Mr. Advani for his "knack for knotty litigation," noting that he is "no stranger to dealing with complex issues on the fly."  Law360 writes that while Mr. Advani "is already an old hand at complex securities litigation, he still meets new suits with youthful enthusiasm."
