Law360 publishes feature article on Willkie’s leading Foreign Corrupt Practices Act practice.

On June 7, Law360 published a feature article entitled "FCPA Powerhouse: Willkie Farr," profiling Willkie’s leading Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) practice. The firm was recently named as one of the top 10 "FCPA Powerhouse Firms." The inaugural list includes an elite group of 10 firms that have emerged as "true leaders" in the fast-growing FCPA field.

Winners were selected based on contributions to this developing area of law, including handling landmark FCPA cases, other significant client representations and outcomes, as well as number of attorneys at the firm working on FCPA matters. Law360 extols Willkie’s "record of rock-solid counsel," which includes "a common theme of going all-in with efforts to root out unethical business dealings in hopes of minimizing damage." The article also highlights some of the firm’s recent FCPA successes, including on behalf of Alcatel and Tyco, a case which involved multiple operations across the globe.

The profile, which features interviews with partners Martin Weinstein, Robert Meyer and Jeffrey Clark, highlights that Willkie's FCPA and U.K. Bribery Act team includes 10 partners and more than three dozen associates in the U.S. and Europe, including five former U.S. Department of Justice prosecutors, a former senior attorney with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and a former high-level prosecutor from the U.K.'s Serious Fraud Office.

Willkie’s comprehensive practice spans the three principal areas of FCPA compliance: designing compliance programs and counseling on day to day issues, handling internal investigations and government enforcement matters. The group is distinguished for a depth and breadth of experience, both in the United States and the U.K., that touches upon all anti-corruption compliance issues in nearly every industry.
