Firm honored at the sixth annual Commitment to Justice Awards by inMotion, the agency that brokers pro bono legal services for indigent women in New York City. 

On November 29, Willkie was honored at the sixth annual Commitment to Justice Awards by inMotion, the agency that brokers pro bono legal services for indigent women in New York City.  Partner Eugene Pinover and associates Wendy Shar and Lorraine Freedhand were among inMotion’s “Special Award” recipients recognized for their hard work and commitment throughout the years.  Associate Joanna Rotgers was among the recipients of the “Associates Award.”     Willkie counsel Governor Mario Cuomo delivered the keynote address at the awards ceremony.  Partner Shelley Chapman, who was recently elected to chair inMotion’s Board of Directors, commenced the event with introductory remarks.  The firm is a longtime supporter of inMotion and its mission to provide free legal services to low-income women and their children, primarily in the areas of matrimonial, family and immigration law.
