Quest Software Inc. acquires Willkie client Aelita Software, a privately held provider of enterprise management software, for $115 million.

On January 28, it was announced that Quest Software Inc. would acquire Willkie client Aelita Software, a privately held provider of enterprise management software, for $115 million. The transaction favors Insight Venture Partners, which invested $10 million for an approximate one-third stake in Aelita in 2002. Aelita, based in Columbus Ohio, develops tools designed to assist large corporations install and manage their Microsoft-based networks. The January 29 Daily Deal reports that Willkie partners Gordon Caplan and Andrew Needham, and special counsel Claudia Cantarella handled the deal, which is expected to close by the end of the first quarter.
