On February 5, Willkie partner and Co-Chair of the Energy Commodities Group Athena Eastwood will moderate a virtual panel discussion entitled “Managing Climate Risk in the U.S. Financial System.”

Hosted by the Mayo Center for Asset Management at the UVA Darden School of Business in partnership with the UVA School of Law, this panel will feature insights from industry leaders Rostin Behnam, Acting Chair, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and Dan Scarbrough, Founder, President and Chief Operating Officer, IncubEx. Key to the discussion will be details of a recent CFTC landmark report highlighting, among other things, the role of financial markets as providers of solutions to climate-related risks recommendations, as well as next steps.
