Paris-based Elior acquires leading U.S. provider of contract food services from Gryphon Investors.

On March 18, it was announced that Willkie client Elior SCA, a Paris-based contract and concessions catering company, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire U.S. contract food service provider TrustHouse Services Group from San Francisco-based private equity firm Gryphon Investors. Elior partnered with its two main shareholders (Charterhouse, a large UK private equity fund and Mr. Robert Zolade) and TrustHouse management in the transaction. TrustHouse Services Group is the largest U.S. pure-play contract food service provider in the healthcare, education and correction sectors. With 85,000 employees servicing three million customers in 14 countries, Elior is Europe’s third-largest provider of contract food and concessions services.

The deal was handled by partners David Boston, Cédric Hajage, Michael Zinder, Laura Delanoy, Jordan Messinger and Christopher Peters and associates Howard Block, Joshua Deason, Abraham Kwon and Christopher Wall.
