Jacob Schtevie is a partner in Willkie’s Finance Department. He is based in the Firm's Chicago office. 

Jake represents a variety of banks and debt investors in connection with leveraged finance transactions, with an emphasis on sponsor-backed LBOs and recapitalizations. He regularly handles the negotiation and documentation of various credit facility structures, including senior secured, unsecured, first lien/second lien, senior stretch, unitranche, recurring revenue financings, preferred equity and mezzanine debt investments. He has significant experience with lenders, financial sponsors and corporate borrowers across many industries and sectors, on both large-cap and middle market transactions.

  • Represented BMO Sponsor Finance in financing for Leeds Equity Partners’ acquisition of Big Blue Marble Academy, a provider of early childhood education programs.
  • Represented BMO Sponsor Finance in financing the acquisition of Bevolution Group by Sunny Sky Products, a portfolio company of The Jordan Company.
  • Represented BMO Sponsor Finance on financing for Fort Point Capital’s acquisition of Visu-Sewer, a wastewater infrastructure rehabilitation and maintenance services provider.
  • Represented BMO Sponsor Finance in financing the acquisition of Kantola Training Solutions by Traliant, a portfolio company of PSG.
  • Represented BMO Sponsor Finance in financing the acquisition of Datametica by Onix, a portfolio company of Tailwind Capital.
  • Represented the Lead Arranger in a senior recurring revenue credit facility provided to finance the acquisition by a private equity firm of a software company.
