Vincent Naveaux is a partner in in the Litigation Department.

His practice consists of a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, with particular expertise in corporate and investment fund litigation and arbitration. This includes shareholders’ disputes, merger and acquisition disputes, post-acquisition claims, joint venture disputes and litigation arising from allegations of improper fund management and distressed investment scenarios. For the past few years, he has also been serving ultra-high net worth individuals and their family offices as boardroom adviser.

Vincent is dual qualified to practice in Belgium (avocat) and Luxembourg (avocat à la Cour). Vincent practices in French and English.

Experience

Prior to joining Willkie in 2022, Vincent established his own boutique practice after practicing at several international law firms, including as a partner at White & Case LLP.

Select representative matters*:

  • Advising limited partners (pension funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers and insurance corporations) with commitments of around €1 billion in their ongoing disputes with the general partner of a Luxembourg private equity fund (e.g., strategies and options available, interim injunctions, effective removal of the general partner)
  • Acting as boardroom adviser to a (multi-billion) family office based in Brussels in sensitive issues affecting the family, the group and the portfolio companies (e.g., group reorganization, civil and criminal liabilities, governance, compliance)
  • Advising a Swiss multinational private bank (acting through a Luxembourg investment vehicle) and its directors in their disputes against the general partner of a Luxembourg private equity fund
  • Advising a UK asset manager in civil and regulatory disputes against the general partner of a Luxembourg investment company in risk capital and ultimately the judicial liquidation of the investment company
  • Advising the general partner of a Luxembourg partnership in connection with its dissensions with investors
  • Advising a technology company in arbitration proceedings against an engineering company
