Willkie client Sagard has entered into exclusive negotiations with Meeschaert Capital Partners along with management to acquire a majority stake in pharmaceutical packaging manufacturer Sterimed.
Willkie client Sagard has entered into exclusive negotiations with Meeschaert Capital Partners along with management to acquire a majority stake in France-based Sterimed, a manufacturer of sterile packaging for the pharmaceutical industry.
After purchasing ATH Medical in 2017, Sterimed is now in exclusive negotiations to acquire two new companies outside France: a sterilization packaging manufacturer based in North America (with approximately €25 million in revenue) and a similar company in China (with revenue of approximately €15 million).
Completion of these two additional acquisitions will make Sterimed a global market leader in medical device packaging with nearly €140 million in revenue, 900 employees, 8 production plants and 20 sales offices.
The deal was handled by partner Christophe Garaud and associate Hugo Nocerino (corporate), partner Paul Lombard (finance), special European counsel Philippe Grudé (tax) and national partner Faustine Viala (competition).
