Firm advises Direction des Fonds d’Epargne on Public-Private-Partnership project for the financing, construction, operation and maintenance of three units of Grenoble University.

Willkie represented Direction des Fonds d’Epargne (DFE) with respect to the recently closed Public-Private-Partnership project for the financing, construction, operation and maintenance of three units of Grenoble University. The three university centers are devoted to software development, environmental sustainability and biology, respectively. The project provides for construction for 21,000 square meters of space with a total investment of €70 million. Located in the French Alps, Grenoble is the leading French research center outside the Paris area with one of the country’s largest student bodies, offering courses in every discipline of study.

The deal was handled by partner Amir Jahanguiri and special European counsel Driss Bererhi, (project finance) and partner Thierry Laloum (public law).
