Martin Weinstein named a "Top Gun," Michael Schachter recognized for excellence in the area of Securities and Mei Lin Kwan-Gett listed as a "Rising Star."

On June 29, the Ethisphere Institute announced its listing of "2011 Attorneys Who Matter," which includes three Willkie litigation partners: Martin Weinstein, Michael Schachter and Mei Lin Kwan-Gett. The annual listing recognizes "100 attorneys who have had a significant, positive impact on corporate ethics and compliance" and comprises attorneys in all areas of practice, including law firms, federal agencies and major companies. Mr. Weinstein is named among a short list of Top Guns, Mr. Schachter is included among a list of attorneys recognized for excellence in the area of Securities matters and Ms. Kwan-Gett is included on the listing of Up and Comers/Rising Stars. Mr. Weinstein has been recognized on "Attorneys Who Matter" since its inception in 2009, and this is the second consecutive year for Mr. Schachter and Ms. Kwan-Gett to be included on this prestigious listing.

The following criteria were used in determining the list of winning attorneys: 1) recognized expertise, 2) peer/client endorsements, 3) high-profile litigation, 4) number of cases won, 5) high-profile clients, 6) public service, 7) legal community engagement, 8) academic involvement and 9) other awards and recognitions.
