This annual conference, this year held in Miami Beach, Florida, featured experts, thought leaders, sponsors and institutional investors discussing the latest ILS developments and how the convergence of insurance with the capital markets is driving industry growth and change.
Willkie counsel Scott Avitabile spoke on the panel “ILS Liability Management – Exchanges and Tenders to Manage Exposure.” This session examined how embedding Exchange Offer and Tender Offer technology in ILS can help sponsors to manage their exposure as well as how exchange and tender technology can be used to refresh coverage post event in the Natural Catastrophe space. This session concluded with a discussion on the Life sector and how exchange technology can help support incorporation of new business in embedded value financings / reserve financings.
