Ryan G. Wallach is special counsel in the Communications, Media & Privacy Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Washington. Mr. Wallach specializes in the area of communications law, with a primary focus on legislative and regulatory issues concerning cable, media, and Internet. He represents and advises private and publicly traded communications and media companies on FCC policy matters, pending legislation, and litigation matters.

Mr. Wallach has extensive experience representing and advising clients on regulatory compliance matters and rulemakings before the FCC, including the following areas: the National Broadband Plan, Open Internet rules, programming carriage contracts, ownership limits and competition policy, proposed mergers, and enforcement proceedings.

Selected Professional and Business Activities
Mr. Wallach is currently the Treasurer of the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA) and has served in various other FCBA officer positions. In 2004, he was awarded the FCBA’s Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Wallach is also an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Law School, where he teaches Developments in Telecommunications Law.
