Jonathan J. Konoff is special counsel in the Corporate and Financial Services Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in New York. Mr. Konoff specializes in antitrust counseling with a particular focus on premerger notification compliance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, and other antitrust issues arising from mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Konoff has represented major corporations active in, among other sectors, telecommunications (Level 3 Communications); insurance (Swiss Reinsurance Company); aerospace (Loral); pharmaceuticals (Teva Pharmaceutical Industries); private equity (Warburg, Pincus), print media (Trader Publishing Company); medical and surgical products (PSS, Xomed); financial services (Marsh & McLennan, Zurich Financial Services); energy and gas (Mid American Energy Holdings); and supermarkets (Big V Supermarkets).

Selected Professional and Business Activities
Mr. Konoff is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Section on Antitrust Law, and was involved in a major update of the ABA publication Premerger Notification Practice Manual. He was also a co-moderator of the Hart-Scott-Rodino portion of a June 2002 seminar, “Mergers & Acquisitions: Getting Your Deal Through In The New Antitrust Climate,” which was co-sponsored by the ABA and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Konoff co-authored “Transactions With Financially Distressed Entities,” published in Antitrust, Volume 16, Number 2, Spring 2002.
