Elizabeth J. Bower is a partner in the Litigation Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Washington. Ms. Bower specializes in multiparty, complex, commercial litigation and corporate compliance matters. She represents clients in proceedings before federal and state courts, agencies, and arbitral tribunals. Ms. Bower has litigated civil securities actions, adversary proceedings in bankruptcies, professional malpractice actions, and various kinds of contract and business disputes, as well as conducted a number of corporate internal investigations.

Ms. Bower is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
Prior Experience
Immediately after law school, Ms. Bower served as a law clerk for United States District Court Judge Richard L. Voorhees in the Western District of North Carolina.

In re Insurance Brokerage Antitrust Litigation – Counsel in federal multi-district litigation arising out of government investigations of insurance industry.
Nationwide Policyholder Litigation – Counsel in cases brought throughout the United States alleging violations of federal and state law by insurance companies and brokers.
In re LandAmerica Financial Group – Counsel to debtors in large, complex chapter 11 cases, including more than 100 adversary proceedings.
Counsel to major accounting firm in civil litigations and arbitrations brought by investors in alleged tax shelters.
Counsel to the audit committee of a major automotive company in SEC and DOJ investigations of alleged Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations.
Conducted internal investigations of major generic and proprietary pharmaceutical companies regarding accounting irregularities and potential FCPA violations.
