Cornelia Thaler is a partner in the Real Estate Department and leads the real estate practice in the Frankfurt Office. She advises private and institutional investors, PE firms, Family Offices and developers on complex real estate transactions, including sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, NPLs infrastructure, asset management and litigation on all asset classes (including data centers, hotels, life science, logistics, office and living).

Cornelia is recognized as Highly Regarded in IFLR1000 and has been ranked in Band 1 in Chambers Europe. She speaks fluent German and English.

Experience

Cornelia was previously a partner at Clifford Chance, where she served as the head of the real estate practice in Frankfurt.

Cornelia is a member of the RICS Germany Advisory Board and also a member of the ICG (German Real Estate Corporate Governance Initiative).

  • AEW on the sale of a retail portfolio to Redos and of an office portfolio to Invesco
  • Aurelis on the sale of the Laetitia Portfolio
  • Brookfield Property Partners on the €1.5bn acquisition of the Hochhausensemble Potsdamer Platz in Berlin
  • Cromwell on the acquisition of a pan-European portfolio financed by the coinciding IPO of its Singapore REIT
  • e-shelter on a data center and infrastructure joint venture
  • e-shelter/NTT Group on the acquisition of various data center sites and data center contracts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
  • Europa Capital on the acquisition of "Designer Outlet Wolfsburg"
  • Frasers/Geneba on the acquisition of two logistics portfolios and the Alpha Industrial Platform
  • Globus Gruppe on its acquisition of more than 24 Globus supermarkets
  • Greystar on the acquisition of a 758-apartment development in Berlin in a forward purchase deal
  • Greystar on the acquisition of a residential development scheme in Hamburg
  • Indigo Invest on the setting-up of an investment management joint venture for UK real estate
  • Investa on the double-tier HVI joint venture for a ruined development in Munich
  • LEG Hessen-Hanau on the sale of a residential portfolio to Corestate

  • StoneVest AG on the formation of a joint venture with Madison International Realty
